‘Tiger Tank’ Open House June 18

The Northeast ISBDC is one of several organizations and businesses that will be providing support to the winner of Tiger Tank, a business competition taking place in Bluffton. Tiger Tank is a joint enterprise of the Wells County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development and the downtown Bluffton revitalization group Bluffton NOW! The competition is designed to promote new business start-ups, or expansion of existing businesses, and to provide the use of an available storefront in downtown Bluffton as part of the winner’s prize package.

Included will be the use of the modern, fully-furnished space adjoining the Wells County Public Library that formerly housed a coffee shop. The winning contestant will also receive a cash prize of $10,000 in the form of a zero-interest loan and an additional matching grant of up to $10,000 based on the contestant’s investment. Various members of the Wells County Chamber of Commerce will be providing free services to the contest winner, and the Northeast ISBDC will be offering free-of-charge business coaching and planning to the winning entrepreneur.

Those interested in entering the four-round business competition should visit www.wellscoc.com/tiger-tank <http://www.wellscoc.com/tiger-tank> and attend an Open House on Thursday, June 18. The Open House will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at 200 West Washington Street in Bluffton, allowing potential Tiger Tank participants to view the available space that will be provided rent-free for 12 months to the contest’s winner.

Applications are due by Wednesday, July 1, at 4 p.m. More details about Tiger Tank are available on the Wells County Chamber’s website at www.wellscoc.com/tiger-tank, by contacting Michael Daniels at mdaniels@wellscoc.com or 260-824-0510, or through the attached news release.
