The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum will be hosting Summer Day Camp from Monday, June 15 – Friday, June 19, 2015. Camp starts at 10 am and conclude at 2 pm each day. Campers will be fully immersed in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and its history through hands-on activities, presentations, and interaction with exhibits.
“This is a project that volunteers and staff have been working on for about a year,” said Kendra Klink, Chief Operating Officer of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum. “We have developed programs and activities through the help of the Education Committee and the expertise of our staff. This week of camp promises to be exciting for the campers, volunteers, and staff – we are so excited!”
The Summer Day Camp is geared towards students 10 – 12 years old and is for both boys and girls. “The campers will experience interesting and fun educational activities that will expand their skills and knowledge,” said Jon Bill, director of education and archives at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
“Campers will have the opportunity to learn about the Auburn Automobile Company, the automotive history of the area, art deco, early automotive racing, how a car works, and so much more,” continued Klink. “The price for camp is $150 per student. Campers will take home something every day to share with his or her family and friends about what they have learned that day.”
