ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Fort Wayne lost in walk-off fashion, 6-5, in 11 innings at Dayton. Duanel Jones hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to give the TinCaps a 5-4 lead before the Dragons tied it in the ninth and won it on a Ty Washington RBI-single.

The MiLB Contest launched Thursday and will run until May 21. There’s no limit on the number of votes cast per day. FOUR HITS FOR FRANCHY: In his 201st career game, shortstop Franchy Cordero had his first four-hit game on Thursday night. Admittedly, that’s a misleading stat because he had a five-hit game on July 8, 2013 with the AZL Padres against the AZL Indians. But it was the most hits he’s had as a TinCap in 44 contests.
GO DJ: Third baseman Duanel Jones is tied for sixth in the MWL with 3 HR and ranks third in RBIs with 19.
HOT TORRES: Outfielder Nick Torres has a hit in seven consecutive games. For that matter, he has a hit in 20 of Fort Wayne’s 24 games.
