LHP Taylor Cox (0-2, 5.12) vs. LHP Shane Dawson (2-2, 1.57)

Thursday, May 7, 2015 — Parkview Field — First Pitch 7:05 p.m. — Game 25

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Fort Wayne lost in walk-off fashion, 6-5, in 11 innings at Dayton. Duanel Jones hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to give the TinCaps a 5-4 lead before the Dragons tied it in the ninth and won it on a Ty Washington RBI-single.

BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE: Fans can vote at this link <http://atmilb.com/1IwoA2q> on MiLB.com for Parkview Field’s Ortho NorthEast Treetops as the “Best Seat in the House” in Minor League Baseball. The MiLB Contest launched Thursday and will run until May 21. There’s no limit on the number of votes cast per day. Fans are also able to enter the Contest by tweeting or Instagramming a photo from their seat from May 7-13 by including @MiLB and #MiLBBestSeat. The top 10 fan-submitted photos will then be put up for a vote with the winner receiving a 2015 subscription to MiLB.TV and four tickets to an MiLB game.

FOUR HITS FOR FRANCHY: In his 201st career game, shortstop Franchy Cordero had his first four-hit game on Thursday night. Admittedly, that’s a misleading stat because he had a five-hit game on July 8, 2013 with the AZL Padres against the AZL Indians. But it was the most hits he’s had as a TinCap in 44 contests.

GO DJ: Third baseman Duanel Jones is tied for sixth in the MWL with 3 HR and ranks third in RBIs with 19.

HOT TORRES: Outfielder Nick Torres has a hit in seven consecutive games. For that matter, he has a hit in 20 of Fort Wayne’s 24 games.

THE OTHER GUYS: Lansing’s roster features the following Top 30 Blue Jays prospects according to MLB.com:
7. RHP Sean Reid-Foley
9. SS Richard Ureña
19. OF D.J. Davis
20. OF Anthony Alford
22. C Danny Jansen
