ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps beat the Dragons, 4-1, Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field thanks to a home run from Franmil Reyes, outstanding pitching, and poor defense by their opponent. FRANMIL FLEXES MUSCLE:
Right fielder Franmil Reyes hit his first home run of the season on Tuesday night. Reyes launched 11 home runs for the TinCaps in 2014 — third most on the club. His last homer before Tuesday was on Aug. 20 at Parkview Field against Great Lakes… With back-to-back two-hit games, Reyes has seen his average jump 31 points during this series from .197 to .228.

HOT TORRES: Outfielder Nick Torres is the only TinCap to start all 23 games so far this season, and he’s hit safely in 19 of them, including each of the last six. Torres had two hits Tuesday.

LEADING THE LEAGUE: Despite playing three less games than everyone besides Great Lakes, the TinCaps are tied with Quad Cities for the Midwest League lead in doubles with 47.

MWL TOP 10: Nick Torres is 2nd in Runs (19), tied for 2nd in Total Bases (44), tied for 4th in Doubles (7), tied for 5th in slugging (.500), tied for 6th in Hits (29), 7th in on-base plus slugging (.885), and 8th in Batting Average (.330)…

Third baseman Duanel Jones is tied for 4th in Runs Batted In (16), 8th in slugging (.468), 9th in Batting Average (.325), and 9th in on-base plus slugging (.876)…

Center fielder Michael Gettys is tied for 5th in Triples (2)…

Outfielder Edwin Moreno is also tied for 5th in Triples (2)…

Middle infielder Felipe Blanco is also tied for 4th in Doubles (7).
