Stitch N’ Pitch is batting up for its 10th year as one of the most successful needlearts consumer events in the country. The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA) has partnered with Major League and Minor League Baseball to host people who enjoy crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery, quilting, needlepoint and other fiber arts. These promotional events attract thousands of Stitch N’ Pitch fans every year who sit together in a large group and work on their needlearts projects during the game while cheering for their favorite team. Stitch N’ Pitch has the distinct honor of holding the Guinness World Record for “Most People Crocheting at the Same Time.”

This year’s event is sponsored by Annie’s located in Berne, IN, one of the largest catalog and online retail sources for needlework supplies and publisher of craft magazines for crochet, knitting, quilting, cross-stitch and card making. Annie’s will give away free Stitch n’ Pitch tote bags to the first 150 stitchers attending the game. Door prizes will also be given away throughout the game.

This year marks the Fort Wayne TinCaps 5th annual Stitch N’ Pitch event at Parkview Field. With the support of Annie’s as the title sponsor since the event’s inception in 2011, over 500 needlearts enthusiasts have turned their love of stitching and baseball into a fun social event.
