FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Due to the federal government shutdown, Todd Schwartz, Deputy Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, will not be keynote speaker for the CEO Forum presented by the University of Saint Francis at the USF Performing Arts Center Thursday.
In Schwartz’s stead, Don Schenkel, retired founding chair and CEO of Tower Bank and Tower Financial Corp. will share his expert perspective on the effect of globalization on business. A lifelong business leader, he remains in a governance role for companies with an international presence. He is board chair for Wayne Pipe and Supply and a board member for Golden Heritage Foods. Mr. Schenkel is also a board member for PHP and Lutheran Health Network, and past chair of the Fort Wayne Area Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph Hospital. He was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by the Indiana governor’s office in 2000 for his outstanding career and passion to serve fellow Hoosiers.
