Fort Wayne, Ind.—A local consultant with more than 20 years of experience in business management, analysis and strategy development recently launched a management consultancy to focus on serving companies in the tri-state region of Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan and Northwest Ohio. Fort Wayne businessman Jorge Zazueta,Ph.D., opened Zazueta & Company based on his wealth of knowledge and experience from working with numerous organizations over the years, including Fortune 500 companies like IBM Corporation and Cummins, Inc. He most recently served as a principal in CSC Consulting, headquartered in Falls Church, Va., from 2011 to 2013, where he worked with a variety of international and U.S. companies.
Zazueta & Company provides a holistic framework and comprehensive tool set to help companies reduce costs, improve processes and increase the organization’s overall profitability and value. The firm employs a powerful approach in working with opportunity identification, analysis and process re-engineering, according to Dr. Zazueta.
“It is no secret that an inordinate number of improvement efforts either fail to deliver or enjoy a very short lifespan. Even more unnerving is the notion that while an implemented change is alive and well, it is not clear that a business benefit is being derived from that change,” Dr. Zazueta explains. “To be effective, an improvement framework needs to be consistent, complete, repeatable, and incorporate a learning mechanism that fosters benefits realization and new opportunity identification. Zazueta & Company has developed a robust, proprietary ODIL framework that meets all of those needs.”
Zazueta’s ODIL framework helps his customers navigate through the four stages of the improvement process: 1) Opportunity identification, 2) Decision making, 3) Implementation, and 4) Learning. “The process fosters a truly comprehensive view from idea to implementation and benefits realization and sometimes uncovers surprising solutions,” according to Dr. Zazueta. He notes that each stage of the improvement process is supported by a flexible set of analytical tools that provide additional insights and complement each other throughout the process. Although the ODIL applications can extend to any process, he said that it is particularly relevant to business process transformation efforts, including financial and supply chain management, vendor selection, financial modeling and business case development.
