Amplify Art! Seeks Community Support For 2019 Spring Cycle

Arts United is pleased to present three projects selected for the 2019 Spring Cycle of Amplify Art!, a crowdfunding campaign platform designed to support arts and culture projects in northeast Indiana. Amplify Art! relies on support from the community through social media advocacy and small contributions from a large number of donors. The projects are:

No Alley Left Behind

Paint the Town

Angola High School students Brooklyn and Teryn’s Paint the Town mission prompted the “No Alley Left Behind” initiative to brighten Historic Downtown Angola and create areas where the public can become immersed in art. The funds raised in this campaign will go towards transitioning a shabby vacant alleyway into a vibrant public space and painting a mural on a downtown wall with community collaboration.

People will be able to come together by displaying, performing, and interacting with art in the heart of Angola.

The Brilliance Dreamer Concert

Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and Fort Wayne Rising

Within the polarizing issue of immigration where discord and fear run high, it’s easy to lose hope for a better way. In the midst of this environment lies a musical collective, creating art that is counter cultural. David Gungor and John Arndt—otherwise known as The Brilliance—suggest an alternative to the messages of division and fear by creating music and experiences that invite the listener into beauty, wonder, and empathy. Support Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and Fort Wayne Rising as they present the culturally engaging music of The Brilliance on May 30 at The Clyde that blends classical sounds of cello and piano with modern beats, infectious pop hooks and moving lyrics – bringing us together in the belief that peace and justice should be possible for all.

Unlocking Your Design

Creative Women of the World

She may have a dream and be highly creative but how does she turn that into a sustainable business that can help support her family? Creative Women of the World has developed a practical and accessible curriculum that covers all areas of business called “Unlocking Your Design”. It focuses on each person’s unique qualifications for business whether they have recognized or not. This project will help us create interactive workbooks to be used in CWOW’s training and for reference when the class is over.

Amplify Art! is a crowdfunding program that mobilizes community support for and awareness of diverse creative projects. Each Amplify Art! campaign takes place over one month; this month’s campaign will run from May 1-31. Donations can be made at www.artsunited.org/amplify. Each project is seeded with $1,000 from Arts United.

Donations from community members to each project are matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $1,500 by 3Rivers Federal Credit Union.

Through the Amplify Art! program, Arts United proactively increases the community’s access to diverse, innovative, and compelling creative experiences. Arts United provides the fundraising technology and promotional support to help make these projects a reality. Please contact the respective representatives to learn more about each project:
