The Rescue Mission’s One Night Without a Home event will take place on Friday, October 19 this year, one month earlier than previous years. The event is intended to give participants a glimpse of being homeless while also raising awareness about homelessness and raising funds for The Rescue Mission.

Participants will spend the night on the lawn of Charis House (431 Fairmount Pl., Fort Wayne, IN 46808), the women and children’s ministry of The Rescue Mission. The event also includes dinner, testimonies from former Rescue Mission residents, fellowship around fire pits, and breakfast a short walk away at The Rescue Mission (301 W. Superior St.) the next morning.

Last year’s event raised nearly $50,000. Participants who sign up before October 1 will get a free One Night Without a Home t-shirt.
