Rivercamp: FUN Summer Camp for Youth

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is inviting kids, ages 8-12 to get active on our city’s rivers! They will learn about the role our rivers have played in the history of Fort Wayne and ways to enjoy them today.

Campers will gain a better understanding of our rivers and ways to safely enjoy recreation on them. A new appreciation and enthusiasm for our waterways has caught on throughout the region – so why not share this with our children?

In addition to games and crafts, kids will get to try out an array of boats including a pontoon trip, learning to paddle canoes and kayaks, and using teamwork to paddle the 40-ft dragon boat!

Camp will be held at Shoaff Park Riverlodge and we will have a special day of fun in downtown Fort Wayne. Ages 8-12. Fee: $115.

Call 427-6000 to sign up or register on-line at www.fortwayneparks.org. Registration deadline: July 2. Space is limited, so register now!
