St. Joseph Community Health Foundation Grants Seed Money For Program Providing Mental Health Support To Cancer Survivors

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana has received a generous grant of $3,500 from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation as seed money for a new counseling program. This grant will allow Cancer Services to grow and expand the support services offered to local people affected by cancer.

“Cancer Services clients have always had emotional support and problem-solving assistance,” said Cancer Services’ Clinical Director Marsha Haffner. “This grant will allow us to provide professional counseling intervention for clients who find themselves grappling with more serious obstacles and in need of deeper therapeutic expertise.”

The funding from St. Joseph Community Health Foundation ensures people touched by cancer not only have the support they need, but have access to professional and affordable assistance that will improve their quality of life throughout their cancer journey.
