On Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the Allen County SPCA will hold a fee-waived adoption event at Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne (502 W Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808).
Thanks to a generous Share the Love Event grant from the ASPCA and Subaru, all cats and dogs adopted during the event that day will have their full adoption fee waived, a value of up to $125.
Dozens of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens looking for their forever homes will be featured at the event. All of the Allen County SPCA’s adoptable pets are current on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
As always, the Allen County SPCA will be offering same-day adoptions for families who are fully prepared to add a pet to their homes. All animals will be adopted on a first come, first served basis, but priority will be given to pre-approved adopters. Anyone interested in adopting this weekend can find the application on the shelter’s website.
In addition, the Allen County SPCA will offer the public a chance to have their pet’s photo taken with Santa from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Pets (and families) of all shapes and sizes are welcome. Photos are free, but donations to the Allen County SPCA are encouraged.
"We’re thrilled to partner once again with our friends at Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne to send pets home for the holidays," says Allen County SPCA Executive Director, Jessica Henry. "Thanks to Subaru’s Share the Love event and the generosity of the ASPCA, we’re hoping to send close to 30 pets home at no cost to their new families."
The shelter at 4914 S. Hanna St. will be closed on Friday, December 15, 2017 for the Santa Paws event and will re-open for normal business hours at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
The Allen County SPCA is honored to have been selected by Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne as its Hometown Charity for Share the Love 2017. From November 16, 2017 to January 2, 2018, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of select nonprofit organizations, including the Allen County SPCA.
This year marks Subaru’s 50th Anniversary in the U.S. and, for the second year in a row, there will be no cap on the total donation from Subaru of America to its Share the Love charitable partners. At the culmination of this year, Subaru hopes to exceed a grand total of $115 million donated since the creation of Share the Love to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the event.
