The public is cordially invited to join Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control in celebrating the holidays with the dogs, cats and small animals in our care on Saturday, December 2 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the shelter located at 3020 Hillegas Road.

Tour the ENTIRE shelter, visit with the animals, enjoy the children’s craft area, refreshments, get your photo with Santa’s dog and learn about volunteer opportunities. Guests are encouraged to bring donations for the purchase of medical supplies or gifts of pate canned cat food or ground canned dog food. Other items of need include peanut butter (creamy/any brand), durable chew toys like Kongs or Nyla Bones, oatmeal and forever postage stamps.

For the first time ever, our adoption center will be open during the Holiday Open House! Guests will be able to adopt a new family member just in time for the holidays. The public will also be able to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the building.
