Halfway Through October Cycle Of #AmplifyArt!

The three projects chosen for the October cycle of #AmplifyArt have only two weeks left to raise awareness for their projects through social media advocacy and online donations.

The projects current statuses are:

  • Cinema Center’s Spectator Lounge Screen has raised $3,210 of their $5,000 goal. Cinema Center will convert its Spectator Lounge space, currently used for events, meetings, gallery, discussions and other programming into a second screening room with 40 seats.
  • The Derby Girls Documentary has raised $1,360 of their $3,000 goal. his feature length documentary will showcase the lives of the skaters who comprise the Fort Wayne Derby Girls and what drives them to play their sport.
  • Indiana Center for Middle East Peace’s The Andalusian Trail has raised $2,870 of their $4,000 goal. Through story and song, The Andalusian Trail celebrates the diversity of cultures that came to settle medieval Andalusia (southern Spain) – from India, North Africa, and the Middle East – the coexistence of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and the rich exchange of musical ideas, instruments, and culture.

Amplify Art! is a crowdfunding program that mobilizes community support for and awareness of diverse creative projects. Each Amplify Art! campaign takes place over one month; this month’s from October 1-31. Donations can be made at www.artsunited.org/amplify. Each project is seeded with $1,000 from Arts United.

Donations from community members to each project are matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $1,500 by 3Rivers Federal Credit Union.
