Mother to Mother, a local nonprofit that provides peer support groups to grieving mothers in our community, will host Bishop Marvin L. Sapp as the 2017 Healing Hearts Conference featured speaker. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 10th at the Parkview Mirro Center. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. with opening remarks and breakfast starting promptly at 8:00 a.m.
The morning will start out with a keynote address from Bishop Marvin L. Sapp followed by breakfast and a panel discussion with community leaders and grief specialist. The event will conclude with breakout sessions designed for specifically for the men, women, and teens in attendance, helping them to create a safe place to share their journey and to remind them that they are not alone.
Bishop Marvin L. Sapp is a passionate orator and biblical teacher and currently, serves as the senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church as well as a Metropolitan Bishop that oversees more than 100 churches. Following the loss of his beloved wife of 18 years to cancer, preceded by the untimely deaths of his biological father, spiritual father, and musical mentor; Sapp still had three children to raise, an influential church to run, entrepreneurial ventures and a thriving musical career to maintain. He poured his emotions into his craft. He has enjoyed a decorated music career along with many other accolades and honors from national, regional, and local institutions. Bishop Sapp has been honored and recognized for his professional and philanthropic efforts in his home city, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
