Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana is honored to welcome oncologist, David Trenkner, M.D., as Physician Liaison for the local non-profit, which supports people affected by cancer.
Dr. Trenkner, who practiced radiation oncology in Northeast Indiana for nearly 30 years and retired in 2015, will utilize his experience and expertise to strengthen Cancer Services’ relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals in the community. “Dr. Trenkner is known for his service to this community and dedication to his patients,” said Dianne May, president and CEO of Cancer Services. “He is an example of a physician who understands how important it is to bridge medical treatment with the practical and emotional support people receive from Cancer Services. He will be able to communicate that on a peer-to-peer level with physicians in Northeast Indiana, while helping us improve the programming we provide. “
A native of South Bend, Dr. Trenkner graduated from Indiana University in 1978 with a degree in math and continued on to graduate from the IU School of Medicine in 1982.
