Indiana Michigan Powers small- to mid-sized business customers can earn up to $3,000 in energy efficiency incentives.

Business customers can take the first step in understanding the unique energy-saving opportunities available to them with I&Ms Small Business Energy Tool.

This no-cost tool will connect businesses with offerings that include an onsite energy assessment and up to $3,000 per business site for upgrading lighting, refrigeration or other equipment.

In addition to reducing energy usage, numerous studies show that making energy efficiency investments is good for business. For example, LED lighting and efficient refrigeration measures extend the shelf life of products like packaged meats, produce and flowers and upgrading external lighting increases customer safety and nighttime foot traffic.

The online tool takes about 10 minutes to complete and asks questions about the physical structure of the building, the daily operations at the facility and about existing lighting and HVAC equipment.

Once the questionnaire is complete, a report is generated with customized recommendations on ways our business customers can control operating and maintenance costs through energy efficiency upgrades. It also provides information about rebates and incentives they qualify for. I&M will follow-up with these businesses to help them get started on their upgrades.
