On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, The Rescue Mission will host their annual Easter meal. Last Easter, more than 2,000 meals were served to the hungry and homeless at The Rescue Mission. Anyone who is in need of a meal is welcome.
The meal is provided free-of-charge and open to the public at The Rescue Mission (301 W. Superior Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802). Meal serving will begin at 12:00pm and will end at 3:00pm. The meal is made possible by donated food items from area individuals and groups, cash donations, and the assistance of nearly 150 volunteers.
This year’s hearty, home-style dinner will consist of ham, corn, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, as well as assorted pies and pastries. Rescue Mission cooks and volunteers have been busy preparing the meal all week.
