HU April Foundation Breakfast To Focus On Health

The Huntington University Foundation breakfast on Wednesday, April 12, will feature Juli Johnson, President of Parkview Huntington Hospital, speaking on community health and wellness.

“Our community is blessed to have businesses, non-profit organizations, agencies, programs and people that enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Huntington,” said Holly Sale, HU Foundation President and Parkview Huntington Hospital’s Director of Rehabilitation and Wellness services. “Parkview’s partnership with the people of Huntington is one example of how working together for a common good can improve our lives in immeasurable ways.”

Johnson will discuss the hospital’s expanded focus: going beyond the physical health of community residents to address other aspects of well-being. Rooted in this community, Parkview Huntington is working to make appropriate resources available to help each individual along their personal health journey, and to encourage growth and collaboration of local organizations contributing to quality of life in Huntington County.

The April Foundation Breakfast will take place at the Habecker Dining Commons with breakfast beginning at 7:45 a.m., the program starting at 8:00 a.m. and concluding by 9:00 a.m. The Foundation Breakfast is held on the second Wednesday of each month, October through May, and is open to the public. The cost of the breakfast is $10, a portion of which helps to support local area students attending HU through the Huntington County Grant. First-time attendees eat free courtesy of Bailey-Love Mortuary.

RSVPs are requested for the breakfast, but not required. For more information or to RSVP, contact Barb Baker at (260) 359-4069 or bbaker@huntington.edu.
