The Embassy Theatre is pleased to announce open enrollment for its summer SCORE! 2017 program for middle-school students, including two scholarship opportunities. In its fifth year, the three-week intensive musical theater workshop immerses students in all elements of theater.
The two types of scholarships, made possible by support from PNC Bank, will allow two students to enroll in the workshop with full tuition covered. Students who have completed grades 6, 7 or 8 and who have not previously participated in the SCORE! program, are encouraged to apply for either a need-based or a talent-based scholarship. Scholarship applications will be accepted until April 30. To download an application, visit the Embassy website at www.fwembassytheatre.org/education.
The SCORE! 2017 workshop will take place from July 10-30. During the three weeks, the students will incorporate play-writing, drama, music, production and technical arts culminating with a performance on the legendary Embassy stage
“The SCORE! program has inspired hundreds of students to explore their inner artistic potential,” said Maggie Hunter, Embassy education manager. “PNC’s ongoing commitment to Fort Wayne’s arts and cultural scene is a terrific example of corporate and community organizations coming together for the betterment of our youth.”
Up to 25 students can enroll in the SCORE! program. Tuition is $450 until April 21. Tuition after April 21 is $550, until June 10 or until capacity is reached. Enrollment forms are available for download at www.fwembassytheatre.org/education.
