Assembly At Bishop Luers High School To Present Heather’s Hope Award

Heather’s Closet, in cooperation with the YWCA and Bishop Luers High School, will present the Heather’s Hope Award at an assembly at Bishop Luers High School on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 12:50 p.m.

Heather’s Closet is an organization in memory of Heather Norris with a mission to prevent teen dating violence. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Heather’s Hope Award recognizes a young person, under age 25, who is bringing hope to the community. This individual is someone who gives back to the community and promotes healthy relationships among peers.

Bishop Luers graduate Kaitlyn Andorfer (Class of 2014) is the recipient of the award this year. Andorfer counseled a college roommate who was in a destructive dating relationship. Andorfer is not aware that she is the recipient. It is intended to be a surprise.
