George Dennehy To Sing And Inspire At Forgotten Children Dinner Auction

Singer/songwriter George Dennehy, whose Twitter and Instagram handles are “@thatarmlessguy” will share his life story and perform original and cover tunes at the Forgotten Children Worldwide 2017 Benefit Dinner & Auction Feb. 25. His presentation will focus on victoriously overcoming life’s challenges, offering energy and inspiration to those in attendance.

Dennehy is a uniquely talented individual, born to Romanian parents who left him in an orphanage because he was born without arms. He was adopted by a US family at the age of one, and learned to play cello by age eight and played frequently with regional orchestras. He later taught himself guitar, electric bass and basic piano. George gained worldwide attention in 2012 after posting a video of himself covering the Goo Goo Dolls song “Iris.” The Goo Goo Dolls saw the video and invited George to perform with them onstage to a crowd of 7,000 at Musikfest, an annual week-long event in Bethlehem, Pa. Since then, CBS News.com has named his video one of the “Best of 2012” and he has shared the stage with national acts like Jeremy Camp, Audio Adrenaline, Hilsong United, Jesus Culture, Colton Dixon, MercyMe, For King and Country and many more. He has also released a CD of original music titled “Have my Heart.”
