Local Student Chosen To Perform At Carnegie Hall

Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy is pleased to announce that Jakob Tomlinson will be performing with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. On May 1st, 2017, Steven Reineke will lead The New York Pops as well as aspiring young performers in a benefit gala performance.

Jakob, an 8th Grader at St. John the Baptist, was selected to travel to New York City to attend “Camp Broadway,” a series of intensive workshops lead by accomplished Broadway performers and instructors. He will participate in a performance with The New York Pops, at the legendary Carnegie Hall. Tomlinson is one of 60 young artists from across the nation who have been chosen for this opportunity.

Tomlinson began his training and performance career with Fort Wayne Youtheatre. Along with their incredible education, he also receives pre-professional training in voice, musical theatre, and dance performance at Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy. Jakob is a member of both the Senior Dance Company as well as the Musical Theatre Company. These elite groups provide serious training to young artists who aspire to pursue careers in the performing arts. “Jakob is an extraordinary student who has completely immersed himself in musical theatre training. His maturity and ambitious approach to learning will undoubtedly help him go far. We are so proud!” said Andy Planck, Executive and Artistic Director (TTPAA).
