Treasure House Grand Opening

On Friday, The Rescue Mission will celebrate the grand opening of a new Treasure House store in Glenbrook Square Mall. As a ministry of The Rescue Mission, Treasure House provides funding, training, and clothing and goods, to help people overcome homelessness.

The new location, named Treasure House Unique Décor & Furnishings, is different from the Treasure House thrift store in that nearly all items for sale are new. The store has a wide range of Christmas decorations, including trees, wreaths, ornaments, outdoor decorations, and more. A portion of the store will also be filled with brand new furniture. All of the items are sold at a fraction of the original retail price, with money from all purchases going to support The Rescue Mission.

“Glenbrook Square Mall is a wonderful supporter of The Rescue Mission,” said Rev. Donovan Coley, CEO of The Rescue Mission. “We are thankful that we were able to partner with them on this project, where the funds raised from each purchase help make Real Change possible in the lives of the homeless.”

Brian Cote, General Manager of Glenbrook Square, said the partnership was a good fit.

“The Rescue Mission has been a respected organization in the Fort Wayne and surrounding area for over 100 years, and Glenbrook is thrilled to provide a location that will help raise awareness and funds for the outstanding programs offered to our homeless community,” Cote said.
