YESTERDAY AFTERNOON: The TinCaps walked off against the Lugnuts for a second day in a row, 3-2. Fort Wayne scored twice in the ninth, including a game-winning infield single from Tyler Selesky. On the mound, top Padres prospect Anderson Espinoza tossed 5 scoreless innings in his Parkview Field debut.

WINNING STREAK: The TinCaps have now won 5 games in a row, which is tied for their longest winning streak of the season. Fort Wayne also won 5 straight from June 4-9. The last time the TinCaps won 6 consecutive games was Aug. 8-19, 2015, when they tied a franchise record winning 10 in a row.

MORE NEW FACES: With the additions of RHP Will Stillman and RHP Braxton Lorenzini, the TinCaps have now had 54 different players on their roster this season ( 22 position players, 32 pitchers). Last year the Padres used 45 players in Fort Wayne all year.

COLLEGE COLLABORATION: Some TinCaps hitters took an early round of batting practice on the field today with IPFW Assistant Coach Connor Lawhead throwing.

FORMER TINCAP ON THE GO: RHP Colin Rea, who pitched for the TinCaps in 2012 and ’13, was traded by the Padres to the Marlins on Friday. Today, Miami dealt him back to San Diego.
