The American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana has been awarded a grant in the amount of $30,000 by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. These funds will be used for Red Cross general operations.

The Community Foundation grant will be used to continue and enhance health and safety courses, blood drives, community services, disaster relief and numerous other operations all over the Fort Wayne community. Generous grants like this allows the Red Cross to achieve its mission of helping those in need of medical, physical and mental assistance.

We are grateful and excited that the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne has chosen to give us a grant that we can then use to give back to people who need it the most. Without donations like theirs, and donations from the people of Fort Wayne, the Red Cross of Northeast Indiana couldnt achieve everything we have set out to do in our community. In the past fiscal year (July 1, 2014- June 30, 2015) the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana served over 693,000 clients in the 11 counties it overseas with the help of 350 volunteers.
