Today, Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Director Al Moll welcomed a new business to downtown Fort Wayne and to the Parks & Recreation Department. Empyrean Café will serve breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks in its new location inside the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory.
The Empyrean Café provides fresh, innovative and scratch-made menu items paired with exceptional service–all located in a welcoming, modern atmosphere suited to today’s downtown urban clientele.
“Empyrean will be a wonderful spot for lunch and allow Conservatory visitors to make a day of it as they enjoy the many attractions in downtown Fort Wayne,” said Director Al Moll.
The Empyrean Café will be open Tuesday through Saturday 8 am – 5 pm, with extended hours on Thursday until 8 pm, and Sunday from 8 am – 2 pm.
Breakfast will be served 8 am – 11 am and will feature menu items such as buckwheat waffles with bourbon peaches or triple berry compote, Greek yogurt with gourmet granola, steel cut oatmeal, rotating varieties of quiche and fresh baked artisan breads with seasonal preserves, infused butters and local honey.
Lunch will be served 11 am – 5 pm and includes sandwiches such as maple glazed ham with triple cream brie, arugula and olive tapenade on pumpernickel, potato leek soup with crispy prosciutto and several varieties of salads and flatbreads. Select desserts are available along with premium coffee, tea and specialty beverages.
