YESTERDAY AFTERNOON: The TinCaps won their second in a row over the Cubs, 6-2.

COLTS AT BAT: For the second year in a row, the Colts are at Parkview Field. After Adam Vinatieri and Matt Overton came last season (and Pat McAfee was here 2 weeks ago), starting safety Clayton Geathers and starting defensive tackle David Parry will throw out ceremonial first pitches tonight. They’re also signing autographs for fans from 5:30-6:45, as is Blue the Mascot. Colts Cheerleaders will be here, too, performing on the field mid-1 and mid-2, and signing autographs afterwards until approximately 8:30. In addition, Colts in Motion, a traveling museum full of interactive Colts history and memorabilia is on hand along with the Play 60 Zone.

TIDWELL’S TEAR: Kodie Tidwell is on a career-long 13-game hitting streak after drawing 2 walks on Wednesday. He’s 16-for-52 (.308 average) over the stretch with 2 HR, 1 3B, 5 2B, 9 R, 7 RBI, and 4 SB. It’s sprung his batting average 57 points and more than doubled his extra-base hit total from his first 28 games this year. During the streak, Tidwell has played 2B, SS, LF, and DH-ed. He’s at 3B tonight.

BRINGING PEÑA TO OPPONENTS: Jhonatan Peña continued his recent hot streak with a 2-run single on Wednesday. Since May 21, the 22-year-old has raised his batting average 55 points. Over the last 8 games, Peña is 12-for-31 (.387) with 1 HR, 2 2B, and 11 RBI. He’s tied with South Bend’s Ian Rice for the most in the league during this time after having a total of 3 RBI in his first 27 games of the season. Peña has spent most of the year in the bottom third of the order, but jumps up to the 5-hole for the second time this season tonight.
