ABOUT SUNDAY: Fort Wayne lost in 10 innings at South Bend, 7-6, as Cubs left fielder Eloy Jimenez socked a run-scoring single to left field with the bases loaded.

ROSTER MOVES: Today the Padres promoted OF Luis Tejada to Advanced-A Lake Elsinore. He was leading the MWL in RBIs (18) and tied for the league lead in doubles (8), while batting .323. San Diego has transferred OF Mason Smith to Fort Wayne from Extended Spring Training. (See Page 5 for more.) Also, right-handed reliever Gerardo Reyes (Page 8) has been activated off the Disabled List. In turn, righty reliever Lou Distasio has been transferred to Extended.
