North Christian Church, located at 5201 Camden Drive, Fort Wayne will host a free Quilt of Souls book reading and author book signing on April 10, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. Books are available for purchase.

Phyllis Lawson’s “Quilt of Souls” is a book the world needs to have. It is more than a personal memoir; it is a historical unveiling of hushed bloodlines and stories of a time and place that got swept under the carpet- powerful, intense, poignant stories that need to be heard. Told through the eyes of a strong woman who, at 4 years old, was whisked off by herself across the country to live with Grandma Lula, who stitched the stories of generations in the little girl’s heart as she created the Quilt of Souls.
