60 Navy Recruits To Volunteer At Community Harvest Food Bank

Community Harvest Food Bank hosted a group of 60 Navy Recruits at its 999 E Tillman Road location on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. These Recruits gathered together at Community Harvest to honor and serve both their flag and their community. Dedicated service men and women provided a service vital to the successful operation of our various food distribution programs.

This service event coincides with a historical time in Community Harvest Food Bank’s history. On April 4th, 2016, Hope for Heroes, a new Community Harvest Food Bank program, will begin under the direction of Carmen Griffith, President, and John Wolf, CEO. This program will provide three months of food assistance to veterans in need, along with their families. Community Harvest Food Bank is thankful for the service of our armed forces and is proud to assist these men and women.
