Midwest Film Factory, a new business specializing in video production and video production training, is opening in Auburn this spring. The new studio will provide unique opportunities for area businesses along with aspiring filmmakers, who will be able to rent the studio facilities for their own projects. Through the onsite training that will be available, the region will be able to “highlight local talent and keep our talented video grads close to home by building an internet video production and broadcasting industry in Northeast Indiana,” according to business owner Julie Scher, who is a client of the Northeast ISBDC. She was assisted in selecting Auburn for Midwest Film Factory by Auburn Mayor Norm Yoder, Ken McCrory of the DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership, and the DeKalb Chamber Partnership, and worked with the NE-ISBDC to launch the new business.
