USF Future Of Healthcare Event, Featuring Glennon Doyle Melton

WHAT: University of Saint Francis and the Lutheran Foundation are presenting “Future of Healthcare 2016: Healing our Community with Hope: Part 1” which features best-selling author and blogger Glennon Doyle Melton sharing her story of struggling with mental illness and addiction.

WHO: USF School of Health Sciences Dean Dr. Mindy Yoder and Lutheran Foundation CEO Marcia Haaff will be available for interviews immediately prior to the event. NOTE: Glennon Doyle Melton will not be available for interviews during the afternoon.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 1; Event begins at 2 p.m., interviews will be available between 1:30 and 2 p.m.

WHERE: USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry Street. Television interviews are recommended in the lobby vestibule.

WHY: Many whostruggle with mental and emotional health issues or know someone struggling with these issues hesitate to seek professional help either because they are ashamed or do not know where to go. The University of Saint Francis is partnering with The Lutheran Foundation to provide an opportunity to hear a story of hope from Glennon Doyle Melton during this FREE community event. This event is a first step in creating a more open dialogue about mental and behavioral health in our community. Event organizers will announce Part 2 programming at a later date.
