USF Planetarium Announces WinterFest 2016

The University of Saint Francis and the Edwin Clark Schouweiler Memorial Planetarium present WinterFest 2016 opening Friday, February 19 with a weekend of laser light shows through Sunday, February 21.

USF is proud to announce that, as in the initial years of WinterFest, the Schouweiler Planetarium has again partnered with Audio Visual Imagineering (AVI) of Orlando, Florida to bring their award-winning laser shows to Fort Wayne. This year, for the first time, the planetarium will be using AVI’s RGB SkyLase system that produces a stunning improvement over the older two-color system.

A total of nine different musical laser light shows will be offered throughout the weekend, including two Pink Floyd classics: “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall.” Saturday and Sunday afternoons will feature a Family Matinee with legendary stories of the night sky for children and accompanying adults.

Full show schedules, playlists for each show and ticket pricing can be found on the Schouweiler Planetarium’s web site: planetarium.sf.edu.

WinterFest 2016 continues for a second weekend at the Schouweiler Planetarium, Friday, February 26, through Sunday, February 28, with a selection of Planetarium Programs from the Planetarium’s current catalog. Weekend Two program listings, schedules and pricing can be found at planetarium.sf.edu.
