Ivy Tech Northeast Nursing To Bring Partially Sighted, Autistic Artist To Campus

WHAT:
Frank Louis Allen is an artist who studied graphic design at Bedford College in the United Kingdom. Allen has been diagnosed with both autism and retinitis pigmentosa, a chronic hereditary eye disease characterized by the gradual degeneration of the retina. He began drawing in November 2011, after a back injury left him partially disabled.

Allen—who specializes in rapid, intricate marker drawings—will speak to nursing students and College and community members.
