Ivy Tech Northeast Announces Spring 2016 Schedule For Special Cuisines Dinner Series

The Special Cuisines class at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast has released its dinner schedule for the semester. Students in the class take turns creating, preparing, and serving world-cuisine themed meals for class credit. The culinary students rotate through various positions in the kitchen and dining room, providing a full restaurant experience.

This semester, a new online reservation system is being introduced. To make reservations, which are required, visit IvyTech.edu/northeast/dinners. You can also call 260-480-2002. Reservations are for 6 p.m. on Thursdays. Dinners are served in the Hospitality Room (door 24, which is located on the back of the building and faces Coliseum Boulevard)on Coliseum Campus (3800 N. Anthony Blvd.) and run $25. Pay on-site with cash, check, or charge. Wine is available for an additional cost.

The semester will kick off next week with a menu inspired by Asian cuisine. The rest of spring’s series include the following dates and themes:

Jan. 21: Asia
Jan. 28: Mexico
Feb. 4: Japan
Feb. 11: Caribbean Islands
Feb. 18: Spain
Feb. 25: Ireland
March 24: Italy
March 31: Thailand
April 7: Turkey
April 14: Persia-Iran
April 21: Africa
April 28: India
