SCHEDULE:
Workshop 1: Tibetan Buddhist Debate, 3 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12
Tashi Kyil monks will engage in a unique form of debate that incorporates specialized language and movement to eliminate ignorance and instill wisdom and “Right View,” a component of the Buddhist Eightfold Path.
Workshop 2: Buddhist Meditation, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12
Tashi Kyil monks will engage participants in three different types of meditation techniques: One-Pointed, which uses breath and visualized objects of meditation; Analytical, where the objective is to observe ones thoughts; and Tantric, which seeks to channel divine energy.
