Non-profit Celebrates 40 Years With 40 Hour Party

90.3 FM WBCL started broadcasting in Fort Wayne on January 12th, 1976 and in celebration of its 40th birthday the station is ready to party!

Executive Director Ross McCampbell says, “6am January 12th through 10pm January 13th, we are broadcasting 40 Hours for 40 Years. It’s a birthday party with special prizes and surprises every hour for 40 continuous hours. To our listeners we’re saying that it’s our birthday, but the presents are for you.”

The 40 hour celebration will include special guests and looks back at music and segments of shows from the past including What’s Cooking with Jeff Carlson and Char Binkley. The over $2,000 in prizes and giveaways (one an hour) are courtesy of Doug Hood of Custom Sound Designs, providing audio, video, lighting, and acoustics for churches and businesses.

WBCL is a listener-supported, not-for-profit Christian media network owned by Taylor University.
