Indiana Department Of Child Services Appoints Alexys Vosmeier Director In Huntington County

The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) has appointed Alexys Vosmeier the new Local Office Director for the DCS Huntington County office. In her new role, Vosmeier will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she’ll oversee a staff of 18 while also handling general office operations.

“Alexys’ first-hand experience in the field and as a supervisor has given her the needed skills to lead her team,” said Jane Bisbee, DCS’ deputy director of Field Operations. “We are pleased to have her in this new role.”

Vosmeier is a native Hoosier, born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In 2007, Vosmeier began her DCS career as a Family Case Manager (FCM) working in assessments and permanency in Huntington County. She remained in that office until her promotion to Allen County Assessment Supervisor in March, 2015. She remained in that position until her appointment to Huntington County Local Office Director.

In 2004, Vosmeier received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne (IPFW). In 2007, she earned her Master of Business Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan Fort Wayne.

She began her new duties December 7, 2015.

The DCS Huntington County office is located at 2806 Theater Avenue, Suite C in Huntington, Indiana.
