AT&T1 is now giving Huntington customers faster mobile Internet speeds on the network with the nation’s strongest LTE signal2. AT&T launched 4G LTE in Fort Wayne in June 2013 and this expanded coverage is part of its ongoing rollout across the area.
The 5 Huntington cell towers provide LTE service throughout the city, Bowerstown and surrounding areas. AT&T 4G LTE provides several benefits including:
· Faster speeds. LTE can deliver speeds faster than many other mobile Internet technologies.4 You can stream, download, upload and play games faster than ever before.
· Reliability. Easily stay connected to the people, information and entertainment you care about as you move around town.
“Economic development and job creation are easily among my top priorities,” said State Rep. Dan Leonard, “and having fast mobile Internet is key to both of them. This investment by AT&T is tremendous news for Northeast Indiana and we appreciate that the company continues to be a great partner in our community and business growth efforts.”
“We want our customers to have a great experience and enjoy all the benefits of 4G LTE,” said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Indiana. “We’re providing stronger connections so our customers can get the most out of their mobile devices, whether they’re watching videos, posting to social media or calling family and friends.”
AT&T has invested nearly $2 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Indiana between 2012 through 2014, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
We constantly invest in our network to give customers the high-quality services they need to stay connected. This helps Indiana residents get the best possible experience over the AT&T network, whether at home, at work or on the go. We have the nation’s strongest LTE signal,2 and the nation’s most reliable LTE network.3
Over the last 6 years (2009-2014), AT&T invested nearly $140 billion including investments in its wireless and wireline networks and acquisitions of wireless spectrum and operations. Since 2009, AT&T has invested more in the U.S. than any other public company. In 2014, the Progressive Policy Institute ranked AT&T No. 1 on its list of U.S. “Investment Heroes,” a ranking AT&T has achieved for the third straight year.
