University of Saint Francis senior Brooke Ridley has been named Crossroads League Player of the Week for Nov. 9-14.

Ridley (Fort Wayne, IN / Bishop Luers H.S.) averaged a double-double — 34 points and 12.5 rebounds – and shot 66 percent in the Lady Cougars’ split with a 1-1 record. The center shot 68 percent while scoring 43 points in a loss to Olivet Nazarene, then scored 25 in USF’s 88-65 win over IU-East on Saturday. She also matched her USF single-game record blocking eight shots against the Red Wolves on Saturday.

Ridley set a Hutzell Athletic Center scoring record with those 43 points, which is the second most points in the program’s history two points short of Jane Post’s 45 points in 1992. Ridley joins Post as the only Lady Cougar to score 40 or more points in a game. Ridley became just the second player in the CL/MCC to score 40+ points in a game dating back to 2002-03. This is Ridley’s second career CL Player of the Week award.
