Commissioner For Higher Education To Host Huntington Education Summit

At the Huntington Career Success Coalition Education Summit, Indiana’s commissioner for higher education Teresa Lubbers will lead a panel of local education and industry representatives who will highlight Huntington County educational initiatives. The summit is hosted by Life Long Learning of Huntington County and the Huntington Career Success Coalition.

Ivy Tech Community College Northeast is sponsoring lunch for the summit, and the College’s chancellor, Jerrilee K. Mosier, will introduce Lubbers.

The summit is in conjunction with Huntington North High School’s Career Day, also sponsored by the two Huntington organizations. All freshmen attend Career Day, and all students have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions with local employers to learn about prospective career paths.
