Community Foundation Grant Awarded to Heartland Sings

Heartland Sings, Inc., a nationally competitive vocal ensemble based in Fort Wayne, has been named as the recipient of a $3,000 grant from the Community Grantmaking Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.

The grant will support Heartland’s ongoing educational outreach programs. Heartland’s educational programs include free performances in area high schools and elementary schools. Extracurricular performance opportunities with Heartland’s ensembles are also available for outstanding high school and college students.

Since 1997, the vocal artists at Heartland have performed more than 700 educational and community service programs. Funding from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne will contribute to Heartland’s history of providing programming for underserved schools and students.
