Save Maumee Video Premiere

Save Maumee Grassroots Organization Inc. is holding its 2nd Annual Member’s Meeting at Don Hall’s Gas House on Monday, November 9, 2015. The event begins at 5:45 with free tea and coffee & cash bar before dinner, then showing their premiere video of "The Maumee Matters." Last year the group had embarked on a 141 mile canoe trip that began at the continental divide between the Great Lakes & the Mississippi to document the number of pipes that leak or flow into the Maumee River. It took 40 volunteers 9 days to complete the trip that began in Junk Ditch and ended at the mouth of the Maumee in Lake Erie. After dinner is served free to current members, Dr. Robert Gillespie, Associate Professor at IPFW will help to answer questions about trends of our local rivers and potential effects of water quality on all three of Fort Wayne’s rivers. This is a members only event, so please bring your support in the form of a checkbook this evening! Annual memberships start at $25.
