Members of the media are invited to join INDOT for its annual Winter Preparedness event
The Indiana Department of Transportation knows that winter weather is on its way. That’s why we’re preparing now – well in advance of the first snow flurry. All members of the media are invited to find out about INDOT’s Winter Preparedness during an interactive media event.
WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 29, from 2-3 p.m.
WHERE: INDOT Fort Wayne District, 5333 Hatfield Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46808
WHAT: Interactive Winter Preparedness event – media will:
Learn about salt, how INDOT uses it, and watch it work first-hand.
Get in the driver’s seat of one of our plow trucks and learn about the “Don’t Crowd the Plow” campaign. Also, talk to a driver about what it’s like to plow snow for up to 12 hours at a time.
Find out what every motorist should have in their trunk when the snow starts flying and what to do if you’re stranded in your car.
