Kool Smiles Dental Offices Organize Halloween Candy Exchange to Benefit Overseas Troops

WHAT: Kool Smiles, a leading provider of quality dental care in Fort Wayne, is coordinating for the fourth year, “Operation Troop Treats” to encourage children to bring their Halloween candy to any of the area Kool Smiles dental offices in exchange for a toy. The candy will then be sent in care packages to U.S. troops serving overseas via Operation Gratitude. Kool Smiles initiated the program to help raise awareness about good dental hygiene and uplift American armed forces serving overseas.

In 2014, children and families donated more than two tons of candy for the troops through Operation Troop Treats. Kool Smiles is encouraging area families to exceed last year’s contribution.

WHEN: Friday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 4, 2015

WHERE: Fort Wayne Kool Smiles – Fort Wayne, 1852 Bluffton Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46809, 260-479-1086

DETAILS: Every child that donates at a Kool Smiles office will receive one toy for every 25 pieces of unopened candy in its original intended packaging. There is a limit of 3 toys per child and toys will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

In addition to the candy cargo, Kool Smiles is donating the funds to cover the assembly and shipment of 200 Operation Gratitude care packages to overseas troops, which will include dental kits from Kool Smiles.
