Beginning December 17, 2015 American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) will operate a second daily flight from Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT). American began daily nonstop service to CLT from FWA on October 2, 2014.
“This added capacity speaks to the strength of our market and is a direct result of the community’s support of its local airport,” said Executive Director of Airports Scott Hinderman. “We’re thrilled to help American Airlines continue to grow in Fort Wayne and provide even more flight options to the southeast.”
American will operate the additional flight with a 50-seat regional jet. The flight will depart FWA at 5 a.m., arriving in CLT at 6:47 a.m. Return service departs CLT at 10:35 p.m. and arrives in FWA at 12:21 a.m. A complete schedule is below.
