SensoryCritters Expands, Partners With TFH

SensoryCritters.com recently added 2,000 square of manufacturing space adjacent to its Fort Wayne retail store at 4715 Lima Road and hired three new seamstresses to keep up with increased demand for its therapeutic weighted products that provide a calming influence on people with disabilities. The Fort Wayne-based company has been designing, producing and selling these exclusive weighted products to customers all over the world for the past decade. The company was founded in 2005 by special needs advocates Lisa and Bob Compton, who are clients of the Northeast ISBDC.

SensoryCritters also recently became the exclusive Midwest distributor of sensory products made by TFH USA, Ltd. This new partnership allows the Comptons to be the sole representatives to sell TFH Play to Learn products and install TFH Multi-Sensory Environments in the states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Western Ohio. This new partnership complements SensoryCritters’ expanded offerings in recent years to include the design and installation of multi-sensory rooms, which has become a growing portion of the firm’s business as it branches out into related services for people with special needs.
