Ceramic Artwork To Be Displayed At USF

The University of Saint Francis will present “SURFACE: Contemporary Ceramic Imagery” in the John P. Weatherhead Gallery in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Visual and Art Communication Center on the USF campus, 2701 Spring Street. The exhibit will be on display from October 24 through November 24 and an artist reception will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 6 to 9 p.m.

This exhibition features works by Bede Clark (Columbia, Mo.), Grace Sheese (Bloomington, Ill.), Justin Rothshank (Goshen, Ind.), Steven Hansen (Berrien Springs, Mich.) and Jenni Brant (Decorah, Iowa). These ceramic artists are creating surface imagery on their work using a variety of techniques including hand-drawing, slip decoration, hand-painting and decal application.

The exhibition is free to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
