Outside crews arrived from Kentucky and Ohio this morning and have begun assisting with restoration efforts.

As of this update, approximately 17,800 customers remain without power in the Fort Wayne area after a wind storm moved through on Saturday morning. About 15,000 customers have been restored and we continue to work quickly and safely to restore power to everyone.

95% of all customers are expected to be restored by 11:59 p.m. Monday night.

I&M reminds customers to be cautious of hidden downed power lines as debris cleanup takes place in yards. If you see a downed power line, do not go near it. Downed power lines can be live and dangerous even if the power is out.
